Antonio Urbano-Fullana

PhD Candidate

Antonio Urbano Fullana was born in Palma de Mallorca in 1973. He obtained a Telecommunications Technical Engineer degree in 1998, at the University of the Balearic Islands (UIB) and a Telecommunications Engineer degree in 2005 from Universidad La Salle (Ramon Llull).

Between 1998 and 1999 worked as an analyst for tourist companies and financial institutions. From 1999 until 2007 he worked in companies in the sector of Telecommunications, like AMENA as switching technique, RETEVISION AUNA as task coordinator at Engineer-technical area, and ONO, as operation and maintenance engineer. From 1998 to 2004 he collaborated with the Confederation of Business Associations of Baleares (CAEB) in the development of technological projects as well as in teaching courses. Instructor CISCO CCNA and CISCO Wireless.

From 1998 to 2008 he carried out engineering projects in the field of telecommunications (ICT, radio projects, structured cabling, wireless infrastructure, etc.)  for companies and private entities.

Since 2008 I am member of investigation team GIDET-UIB within the project ARES (Advanced Research on Information Security and Privacy) CONSOLIDER INGENIO 2010.

From September 2006 is a PhD student at the Mathematical Sciences and Information Technologies department, UIB . The topic of his PhD research focuses on security mechanisms in wireless networks.
